Parkerized on steel is your baseline at 1. Bare steel on bare steel is .85, IIRC hard chrome on steel is .05, hard chrome on hard chrome is .015, and NiB on Melonite is below THAT. The barrel is hp tested and made from 4140 steel with a 1/8 twist non chrome lined the amount of rounds it would take to wear the barrel out would be several thousand rounds and has no effect on being a reliable fiream. Assume any barrel is not chrome lined, unless specifically stated that it is.
Jan 20, 2017 · "Chrome lined" and "4140 chrome moly steel" have nothing to do with each other. Military rifles have the barrels chrome lined sometimes to make them corrosion resistant. Chambers can be chromed too. 4140 chrome moly steel has chrome added to harden it, but its nothing like chrome lining the barrel.
